Fire & Fragrance YWAM South Africa DTS
Hey! I am Ainsley! In 2020, I decided to give my full yes to Jesus, and ever since I have wanted nothing less than Jesus. Throughout the years I have put my shoes in the air and asked the Lord to put me anywhere, followed the Holy Spirit in sharing my testimony in spontaneous conversation and on stages, traveled around the world to make the gospel known, and encountered the deeper things of God. Yet, it all started in the bedroom, with my door shut. When it was just me and God. The more I became hungry for the things of God in private, I was able to see things out in public due to overflow. Over the past year, I had to start thinking about what my next steps were as I am close to graduating High School. For years I was set on college and staying a homebody; however, God changed my heart quickly. In the summer of 2022, I had crazy revelations and set out to rid my self of everything that separated me from God and decided to give my full yes to a YWAM DTS in Kona, HI. Well… a year later in July 2023 God struck me with the idea that where He wanted me was out of my comfort. I threw the idea behind me and put in an application for my Kona DTS. The day before getting on a call, God started painting every conversation, movie, book, and media post with “South Africa”. It was pretty wild. After an unsettling feeling about my call, I canceled and put in an application for South Africa. Soon enough I got on a call and made it official. This June I will be making my way to South Africa for 3 months of learning, growing, and molding then will be sent out for the next 3 months to wherever God calls me. These 6 months to come will radically shift everything. It will bring me deeper into the things of Heaven and allow me to release the gospel over the nations. God has so much revival in store for South Africa and I am honored to be a part of it. I am excited to be a forerunner, witness, and pioneer for the gospel.

Overview: YWAM Fire and Fragrance South Africa is made up of 150 full-time staff, students, interns, and children (as of September 2023) who range from ages 5 months old to 47 years old. We represent 11 nations across 5 different continents. God has placed before us six lanes or areas of focus as a community: Prayer & Worship Evangelism Training Media End Bible Poverty now Mercy In each of these areas of focus, we are trusting God for more than we have seen before. Together, as a community, we are leaning forward and trusting God to see a missions movement from South Africa sweep across Africa and from Africa to see all the nations of the earth impacted by the good news of Jesus
